Elaine C. Soares

Elaine C. Soares ( Spicola), 73, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the beloved wife of John Soares. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elvira (DiStefano) Spicola.

Elaine worked as an office manager for Spicola Insurance Company. She loved to golf and was a member of Louisquisett Golf Course and also a parishioner of St. Augustine Church. She especially loved being with her children and grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, John S. Soares; two daughters, Carole A. D’Amico and Lori A. Famiglietti; two sisters, Anita Perry and Constance Perry; her sister-in-law, Jennie Spicola; six grandchildren; three step- grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph J. Spicola.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
