Edward C. Valletta “Fast Eddy,” 65, of Pawtucket, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Oak Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Providence he was the son of the late John B. Valletta, Sr. and Louise (Grande) Valletta.
Eddy worked many years as a roofer for Universal Sheet Metal. He also worked for Eagle Printing Company. He formerly owned and operated a Printing company in Johnston. He recently worked for the Monroe Dairy. He was a member of Roofers Local 169. He was a member of the Braga Club and the Watchemoket Club in East Providence. He played bass guitar in the Band called "The Revocatations." He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and Yankees. He enjoyed playing darts.
He is survived by his brother, Anthony J. Valletta; and two sisters, Lou Ann C. Valletta and Patricia M. Valletta. He also leaves his former wife, Barbara Valletta; a daughter, Jennifer Valletta; a granddaughter, Giana Valletta; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, many cousins, and friends. He was the brother of the late John B. Valletta, Jr.
His funeral will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4 - 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to fundly.com would be greatly appreciated.
