Edward Leite

December 16, 1923 — October 9, 2013

EDWARD LEITE, 89, of Lincoln, RI and West Palm Beach, FL, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Delia (Matera) Leite. Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel and Evangeline (Amaral) Leite.

Mr. Leite had worked for Speidel for 47 years before retiring as Director of Manufacturing. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran of World War II.

Besides his wife of 56 years he is survived by four children, Donna Calicchia and her husband Steven, Diana Duguay and her husband Glen, Dina Stone and her husband Donald and Edward Leite, Jr. and his wife Lisa; five grandchildren, Steven and Michael Calicchia, Maddison Leite, Kaleena and Andrew Robert. He is also survived by his two K-9 companions, Brady and Cayleigh. He was the brother of the late Manuel, Joseph, Arthur and Anthony Leite, Evangeline Webb, Mary Ferrazza and Rose Cyr.

His funeral will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Entombment with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston.
