Domenic S. Palmieri, 85, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Nero) Palmieri. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmino and Carolina “Lina” (Aceto) Palmieri.
Domenic was the owner and operator of D. Palmieri’s Bakery located on Killingly St. in Johnston. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves a son, Stephen Palmieri and his wife, Susan; a daughter, Melissa Fernandes and her husband, Steve; two brothers, Joseph and Anthony Palmieri and four grandchildren, Stephen Jr., Eric, Talia and Jacob.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, June 21, 2010, at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St., North Providence. Visiting Hours respectfully omitted. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Golden Crest Nursing Centre Activity Fund, 100 Smithfield Rd., North Providence, RI. 02904.
