DOMENIC J. MANSOLILLO, 87, of Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Lena (Diano) Mansolillo for 62 years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Domenico and Assunta (Carchia) Mansolillo.
Mr. Mansolillo was a Senior Inspector for the State of RI Division of Motor Vehicles Safety & Emission Control before retiring. A master auto mechanic, he had owned & operated two Sunoco Service Stations. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10011 Lymansville and enjoyed golfing.
Besides his wife he leaves his cherished daughter, Donna Fishback and her husband, Barry; two treasured grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Fishback; a brother, Ernest Mansolillo; a sister, Anne Baccari and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Carlo, Charles, Nicholas and Louis Mansolillo, Mary Pellegrino, Amelia Fusco and Palma Ricciardi.
Visitation will be held Saturday Morning from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Rd. Suite 1000, Silver Spring, MD 20910. .
