Desiree Lee Mesolella, 19, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Vincent J. Mesolella, Jr. and Donna S. (Surprenant) Mesolella.

Desiree was an accomplished artist and was attending Adelphi University, Long Island, New York on a Talent Scholarship. She was looking forward to a career in fashion and photography. She was a participant in the Miss Teen Rhode Island Pageant for several years and won both the evening gown and swimsuit competitions.

She especially loved the time she spent with her brothers, Derek and Cenzi and her sister Christina. She loved life and all the laughs and good times with her friends. Her sense of humor brightened our lives each and every day.

Besides her parents and siblings, she leaves her paternal grandmother Rose (Musumeci) Mesolella and her maternal grandmother, Janice (Keech) Surprenant. She was the granddaughter of the late Vincent J. Mesolella, Sr. and the late Roland Surprenant.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10am in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Cathedral Square, Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Desiree Mesolella Memorial Art Scholarship Fund, c/o 235 Promenade St., Providence, RI 02908.
