CHRISTOPHER A. RICCI, 56, of Smithfield, RI, died unexpectedly on May 1, 2016.
He was the son of Ronald R. Ricci Sr. and the late Joan E. Ricci. He leaves behind his beloved son, Giancarlo, his brothers, Ronald Jr., Mark, and Philip, his sister, Eleanor, his long time girlfriend, Leela Mullahoo, Leela’s daughter and Chris’s “best friend,” Shivani, and his many cherished nieces and nephews. Born and raised in North Providence, he worked in masonry after high school and subsequently spent many years in the real estate industry. He later owned and operated Salois Dairy Store and then briefly ventured into independent contracting. During roughly the last decade of his life, he served as a project manager for American Anchor.
Chris enjoyed cooking, occasionally serving meals at the Amos House and to the needy in his community. He appreciated music, comedy, the beach, his backyard pool, and traveling. He was a wine and beer connoisseur and a member of the Sons of Italy. He had recently taken up the game of golf.
But all this took a back seat when it came to being a loving, attentive, supportive father. Always taking particular interest in Giancarlo’s writing, they regularly discussed his goals. He would spend hours playing cards and Scrabble with Shivani. He never ceased to offer advice and always took the time to make sure that each were happy.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 12 noon at 285 Ocean Road, Narragansett.
