Charles "Jack" Hyder

Charles “Jack” Hyder, 70, of East Providence, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Janice (Page) Hyder. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Leonard G. and Anna M. (Welch) Hyder.

Jack worked for McLaughlin Automotive for many years before retiring. He was an avid New England Patriots Fan.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three stepchildren, Dawn Silva and her husband Robert, Michael Martins and Gail Quintanilha and her husband Dionaldo; a daughter, Melissa Corrente; two brothers, Leonard Hyder and Bruce Hyder and his wife Dorothy; four sisters, Beverly Carreiro, Evelyn Coccio and her husband Dick, Anna Hyder and Mary Cavaliere; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Madison and Hannah Silva, Dereck and Ryan Quintanilha; and a great grandson, Jaden Quintanilha.

His funeral will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
