Carmela Vispo, 91, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Mancini) Vispo.
A communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church for many years, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George, Armando, Mario, Vicky and Mafalda Vispo and Angelina Phillips.
Her funeral will be held Friday, August 12 at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave., Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held Thursday 3-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
