Calvin V. Giusti, DMD, 86, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Steere House in Providence. He was the husband of the late Luciana (Lamborghini) Giusti. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred and Flora (Mazzucchelli) Giusti.
Calvin practiced dentistry for over 40 years until retiring in 1989. He was a 1952 graduate of Tufts University School of Dentistry. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. An avid art collector and photographer, he was well respected and loved by everyone he came in contact with.
He leaves three daughters, Diana G. Mercurio, Claudia A. Giusti and Angela Giusti Reed Kennedy; a son, Robert E. Giusti; a brother, Theodore L. Giusti; a sister, Norma Collins; eight grandchildren, Michael Giusti, Specialist US Army, Nicholas Mercurio, 1st Lt. USAF, Laura Mercurio, Grace Reed, Julia Giusti-Kizik, Ellen Giusti-Kizik, Leo Giusti and Nathan Giusti and two great grandchildren, Alexander and Gianna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, December 31 at 11 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Steere House, 100 Borden St., Providence, RI 02903.
