Arthur Joseph Vecchio, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2014 at his home. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Palmino and Jennie (Andreozzi) Vecchio. He was the brother of the late Raymond Vecchio and Marie Vecchio Serabian. Arthur was a devoted and loving father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Arthur was employed as an Ice Technician and Foreman at the Dunkin Donuts Center. He also worked at the Providence Performance Arts Center. He was a member of Laborers’ Union, 1033 and Local 271. He was also a member of the Imperial Club on Broadway. His most valued time was spent with family and friends, especially his beloved son, Alexander.
He is survived by his loving son, Alexander Joseph Vecchio and devoted siblings, Palmino Vecchio Jr., Deborah Cotroneo and her husband Thomas, Richard Vecchio, Peter Vecchio and his wife Cheryl, Anthony Vecchio, Angelo Vecchio and his wife Lisa, Lisa Vecchio, John Vecchio and his wife Joanna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning, December 20, 2014 from 8:30am to 10:30am at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 64 Brayton Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that any donations be made to Alexander J. Vecchio, P.O.
