Armond R. Cioni

Armond R. Cioni, 85, of Providence, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Elmhurst Extended Care. He was the beloved husband of Emma (Capogrosso) Cioni. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ferdinando and Elena M. (Nannini) Cioni.
Mr. Cioni worked for Uniroyal and later for the State of Rhode Island before retiring. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife of 61 years he is survived by his son, Steven Cioni; a daughter, Susan DiOrio; three grandchildren, Melinda, Kimberly and Joseph DiOrio and a sister, Rita Daly. He was the brother of the late Fred Cioni and Henrietta Zambarano.
His funeral and burial will be private.
