Anthony Ciampanelli “Camp”, 91, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Madeline S. (Capaldi) Ciampanelli. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Carolina (Tavone) Ciampanelli.
Anthony worked for the Narragansett Brewery for 41 years. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of VFW Post 10011 and enjoyed gardening, walking, and feeding squirrels and dogs along the way.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet M. Ciampanelli and Alane V. Frezza; three grandsons, David, Jason and Matthew Frezza; three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew and Jake Frezza; his son-in-law, Louis D’Agostino and his beloved feline companion, Champie. He was pre-deceased by three brothers and four sisters.
