Anthony L. Santagata Sr.

Anthony, L. Santagata, Sr., 81, of Johnston, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Pine Grove Health Center in Pascoag. He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Nannarone) Santagata. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Archie and Madeline (Del Bene) Santagata.

Mr. Santagata was a dispatcher for the City of Providence Public Works Department. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Anthony L Santagata, Jr. and his wife, Sandra and Paul A. Santagata and his wife, Donna; four grandchildren, Kimberly Sherry, Dustin Santagata, Michael Santagata and Juliana Santagata; and his great granddaughter, Katelyn Sherry. He was the father of the late Stephen Santagata.

His funeral will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence. Visitation Friday 4-7 PM.. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
