Anthony R. Pelosi, 84, of Riverside, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Anna P. (Gabellieri) Pelosi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony R. Pelosi, Sr. and Josephine (Rocchio) Pelosi.

Anthony had worked as a meat cutter for Lincoln Packing in Cranston from 1975 until retiring in 1986. He had previously worked at his family’s business, Anthony’s Market in Providence. He was a member of the Parish Council and was past president of the Holy Name Society of Holy Ghost Church in Providence.. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.

Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Carol Pelosi and her husband Colin Penno, Jean Pelosi Doppelt and her husband Lee and Susan P. Robinson and her husband Michael; a sister, Dorothy Pedro and four grandchildren, Laura, Jeffrey, Brian and Christopher.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. VISITATION Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations
in his memory may be made to Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., Providence, RI 02909.
