ANTHONY L. MARINO, 83, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn (Colarusso) Marino for 57 years. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Francisco and Anna (Saccoccia) Marino.
Mr. Marino worked as a meat department manager for the First National Stores and later worked as a custodian for the North Providence School Department. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Sal Mancini Center - Sons of Italy.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Paul Marino and his wife Susan and Michael Marino; a daughter, Diane Noonan and two grandchildren, Amanda Noonan and Paul Marino, Jr. He was the brother of the late Frank Marino, Mary Manzi, Beatrice Marino and Elena Matarese.
His funeral will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 8 a.m., from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
