Anthony E. Iasimone

August 4, 1927 — March 7, 2015

Anthony E. Iasimone, 87, of North Providence passed away peacefully on March 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Dolores (DeRobbio) Iasimone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmine and Elisa (Teolis) Iasimone.

Anthony is survived by his wife Dolores of 64 years; his children, Debora Lepore and her husband James of Smithfield, Anthony E. Iasimone, JR. and his wife Julianne of Johnston, Lorraine Suzman of North Providence and Carmine Iasimone and his wife Lisa of Lincoln; a sister, Rose Pagnozzi, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Louis Iasimone.

A graduate of Central High School and a Veteran Corporal of WWII, he was employed as a supervisor for BIF Industries from 1947-1988. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed Twin Rivers Greyhound Races, was a master of crossword and intricate puzzles and was a former league bowler. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, attending all their special events as their number one fan and they cherished his special sense of humor. Throughout his life, Anthony was known as a man of honor and dignity by all those who knew and loved him. He was a true gentleman who will be greatly missed.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday (MORNING) March 11th from 8:00 am to 10:15 am at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston
