Anthony F. Bacci, 62, of North Providence, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at home. He was the former husband of Mary E. (Zambarano) Hamel. Born in Providence, he was the son of Elizabeth (Cooney) Bacci and the late Anthony Bacci.
Anthony had been a Social Case Worker for the State of Rhode Island, DCYF for 35 years. He was a Captain in the North Providence Fire Department, Lymansville District, for many years.
Besides his mother and former wife, he leaves his daughter, Karen Baglini and her husband David; two grandchildren, Justin and Adrianna Baglini and two sisters, Judy Palumbo and Colleen DiRaimo. He was the grandson of the late Elmer and Grace Monti and the son-in-law of the late Joseph and Rose Zambarano.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. VISITATION Friday 4-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary’s Home for Children, 420 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
