Anne C. (Caruso) Farina, 96, of Providence, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Steere House Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Theodore Farina. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ciro and Angelina (D’Ambra) Caruso.
Anne worked for Anthony’s Spa on Admiral St. for many years before retiring. She loved sewing, baking, painting and dancing.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her son, Stephen Farina and his wife, Cavell; two daughters, Linda Farina and Frances Lynch and her husband, John; and three grandchildren, Alex Silva, Bianca Silva and Christopher Lynch. She was the mother of the late Madeline Silva and the sister of the late John Caruso and Claire Caruso.
Visitation will be held Thursday Morning, December 29, 2016 from 8:15 – 9:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
