Anna M. Cogean (Hafferty), 68, of North Scituate, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of Walter H Cogean, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Melina (Moquin) Hafferty.
Anna had worked as a CNA at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre in Cranston for 18 years. She was a lifelong resident of North Scituate.
Besides her husband of 52 years, she leaves four sons, Joseph Cogean, Walter Cogean, Jr., Michael A. Cogean, Sr. and Charles Cogean; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Hafferty and a sister, Theresa Lallier.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Graveside Service at 10:00am in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITATION Sunday 5-8pm.
