Anna Lech

Anna Lech, 89, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Heritage Hills Nursing Centre in Smithfield. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Mode) Lech.

Anna had been employed as a bookkeeper for the City of Providence in the Office of the Controller for 40 years before retiring. For her service to Providence, she was presented a Key to the City.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Lech; a nephew, Douglas A. Pettis of North Providence and his wife, Julie; a great nephew, Andrew Pettis of North Providence, two great nieces, Holly Slade and her husband, Paul and Ivy Pettis of North Providence and a cousin, Olha Mode of North Providence. She was the sister of the late Pauline Pettis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11am in St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 74 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be in St. John Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Cumberland.
