DiRIENZO, ANNA INEZ (SERRECCHIA), 87, of Providence and Bonnet Shores, passed away Wednesday April 12, 2006, at home. She was the wife of the late Philip DiRienzo. Born in San Appolinara, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maddalena (Costantino) Serrecchia.
Anna had worked as a seamstress for the former Shepard Department Store for many years. She later worked for Ocean State Optical of Providence.She was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves two daughters, Janice Smith and her husband Robert, with whom she lived, and Linda Bevilaqua; a sister, Erminia DiLibero; four grandchildren, Laurie, Robert and Andrew Smith and Amy Bevilaqua and two great grandchildren, Bradley and Kyle Smith. She was the sister of the late Matilda Rivera.
The Funeral will be held Monday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave.,Providence. VISITATION Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery,Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNS Home Health Services, 14 Woodruff Ave., Narragansett, RI 02882.
