Anna Gasbarro

Anna Gasbarro (Varone), 90, of Barrington, RI, passed peacefully November 20, 2014. She was the wife of the late Philip L. Gasbarro whom she married in 1948. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Annunziata (Antonelli) Varone.

Mrs. Gasbarro was an owner of Flo-Ann’s Dress Shop in Pawtucket and continued her love of fashion and style throughout her life. She was the President of Barrington Liquors, Inc., a business she ran with her husband and other loyal family members and co-workers, Louis Gasbarro and Earlene John.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her two sons, William Philip Gasbarro (Regina) and Christopher Philip Gasbarro (Sandy); two grandchildren, Philip and Nicole Gasbarro; sister Gloria Lucchesi; many loving nieces and nephews and her dedicated caregivers She was the sister of the late Anthony Varone, Sr., Lena Coyle, Florence Perry and Alvera Varone.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 8:00AM until 10:00AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at Holy Angels Church, 341 Maple Avenue, Barrington. Interment immediately following at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside.
