Anna Della Grotta

Anna Della Grotta (Vallante). 90, of North Providence, passed away Friday, November 16, 2007 at Haven Health Center in Greenville. She was the wife of Alexander Della Grotta, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Celesta (Vellucci) Vallante.

Anna was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother. She was a member and Advocate of the John E. Fogarty Center. Besides her husband of 54 years, she leaves two sons, Alexander Della Grotta, Jr. and Michael A. Della Grotta; two daughters, Mary A. Pine and Celeste Della Grotta and four grandchildren, Alan Jr., Maria, Damon and Alexa. She was the sister of the late Carmino Vallante, Rose Lisa and Theresa Forte.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. VISITATION Monday 5-8 pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to The John E. Fogarty Center, 220 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
