ANN M. (PALUMBO) MOTTOLA, 85, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo Mottola. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Zompa) Palumbo.
Ann worked as a jewelry worker for many years, retiring in 1986. She was a parishioner at St. Thomas Church and active in its prayer community in the early 1980’s. She was loved by many friends and young people from the prayer community, and always referred to them as her “spiritual children.” In her retirement, she worked as a teacher aide at Nickerson House, read stories to children at Mount Pleasant Library, volunteered at the Rhode Island Blood Center, and served as a Eucharistic Minister at Roger Williams Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, November 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence.
