Mrs. Ann Rose Attanasio

Ann Rose Attanasio, 95, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at Cherry Hill Manor on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Guido Attanasio for 71 years. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Rosaria (Maiorano) Capizano.
She leaves behind her treasured children, Richard and his wife Elaine and Janice Verdone - her loving care-giver; her cherished grandson, John and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Ann was the sister of the late Santa Guerra, Teresa Grieco, Mary Matheson, Joseph Capizano, Frank Capizano, Charles Capizano, Edward Capizano and Louis Capizano and was the mother-in-law of the late Vincent Verdone.
Since the late 1950’s when she formed Ann’s Jewelry Co. until her retirement in 1986, Ann was an inspiring example for women in business. She was a devoted member of the St. Anne Sodality, her blessed Patron Saint. Ann will be remembered as a kind and loving mother, a source of love and inspiration to her numerous nieces and nephews and a kind and thoughtful friend to many who came into her life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence on Friday September 25, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Visitation respectfully omitted. Ann will be buried privately with her husband at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter
