Anita Monacchio

Anita Monacchio (Siravo), of North Providence, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert A. Monacchio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Orabone) Siravo

Anita had worked for the North Providence Public School Department for over 35 years as a breakfast and lunch coordinator at Centerdale School. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and loved to garden.

She is survived by a son, Alan M. Monacchio and his wife Lucille; two daughters, Janice A. Iannetta and her husband Ronald and Mary Read and her husband Richard; six grandchildren, Daria Argenti and her husband James, Talia Iannetta, Adria Read, Richard Read, Jr, Derek Monacchio and Katelyn Monacchio and a great grandson, Jayden Argenti. She was the sister of the late Anthony and Rachel Siravo and Amalia O’Haire.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Maceroni Funeral Home 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St., North Providence. Visitation Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.
