Angeloantonio "Tony" Azzarone

Angeloantonio “Tony” Azzarone, 89, a lifelong resident of Providence, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Our lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Giangrande) Azzarone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Rosaria (Liguori) Azzarone.
Tony was a member of the Painters Union and worked for numerous contractors in Rhode Island until retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Cranston.
He leaves a sister, Josephine Cirello, many nieces and nephews and his caretakers and special friends. He was the brother of the late Frank, Mario G., Angelo and Nicholas M. Azzarone.
Visitation at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence Monday morning 8:15 – 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Brayton Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 12 Spruce St., Providence, RI 02903.
