Angelo M. Cerce

Angelo M. Cerce, 91, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the husband of the late Concetta (Fiorenzano) Cerce. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Antonetta (DeLillo) Cerce.

Mr. Cerce had worked as a personnel officer for the Veterans Administration. After retiring, he joined the staff at Foster Grant. He was an Army Air Corps. Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his son, Gerald F. Cerce and his wife, Linda and two grandchildren, Lynn-Marie and Gennaro Cerce. He was the brother of the late Louise Ramaglia and Theresa Scardera.

His funeral will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 8 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Pius V Church, 55 Elmhurst Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
