Angelina L. “Lena” Balasco (DelGizzo), 78, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Boston Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonardo A. “Tippy” Balasco. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Schiavone) DelGizzo.
Lena had worked as a Repair Technician with the Colibri Corporation for 30 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves a son, Leonard A. Balasco and his wife, Dianne; two grandchilden, Marc and David Balasco; two brothers, Joseph and Edward DelGizzo and three sisters, Lydia Hinton, Gloria Gravely and Carmela Monti. She was the sister of the late Bob DelGizzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass Saturday at 11a.m. in St. Adalbert Church, 866 Atwells Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Respectfully omitted.
