ANGELA A. (MOTTOLA) RICCI, 94, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Hopkins Manor Ltd. She was the loving wife of the late Benjamin Ricci, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Umberto and Genaveina (Marcello) Mottola.
Mrs. Ricci spent many years working as a weaver at The Worcester Textile Co and was a volunteer and tireless fundraiser in service to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, (Fruit Hill Day Care Center).
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by four children, Judith Sisti, Carol Ricci and her husband Peter Drago, Joyce Martufi and her husband Robert and Benjamiin Ricci, Jr.; two brothers, John and Richard Mottola; a sister, Janice Walsh; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother-in-law of the late Robert Sisti and the sister of the late Leonard, William, Rudolph and Nicola Mottola and Margaret Coogan.
Visitation will be held MONDAY MORNING, December 29, 2014 from 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Mrs. Ricci’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association – Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St. Ste. 306, Providence, RI 02906-5215.
