Angela R. Puopolo

ANGELA R. (VOLPE) PUOPOLO, 86, of Cranston, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Rocco Puopolo. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Lucrezia (Soave) Volpe.

Mrs. Puopolo worked as a dietary aide for the State of Rhode Island before retiring. An accomplished cook, she enjoyed cooking for her family and especially making her delicious Italian cookies.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Maryann Patalano and her husband David; her cherished granddaughter, Angelica Patalano; a brother, Benedetto Volpe; and a sister, Pasqua Rosa “Barbara” Erb. She was the sister of the late Francesco “Frank” P. Volpe, Angelo Volpe, Nicholas Volpe, Rose Impagliazzo, Nancy Golini, Carmino Volpe, Mafalda “Muffie” Carnevale, Dorothy Bevilaqua and Josephine Ruotolo Ponanski.


Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, January 20, 2016 from 8 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's memory may be made to St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
