Americo Del Sesto, 93, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Velia (Pontarelli) Del Sesto. A lifelong resident of Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Tella) Del Sesto.
Americo was a buyer of men’s clothing for the former Outlet Company before retiring and was a communicant of St. Augustine Church.
Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves his devoted children, Judith Giuliano and her husband Vincent of Middletown, Rhode Island and Richard Del Sesto and his wife Cynthia of Greer, South Carolina; three treasured grandchildren, Catherine Anderson, Elizabeth Matteson and Stephen Giuliano and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by twelve brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass, Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Friday 4-8 p.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
