Amelia Zoglio “Millie” (Corrente). 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the 12th of March, 2011 in Naples Florida. She was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Carmine and Liberina (Fera) Corrente. Prior to moving to Naples in 2004, she had lived in Cranston for 44 years and with her daughter and son-in-law in Barrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold A. Zoglio, Sr., Esquire. They were married for greater than 54 years. She was the mother of the late Arnold A. Zoglio, Jr., Esquire.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Elaine Damiani; her son-in-law, Dr. Louis M. Damiani, of Naples, with whom she lived, and her daughter-in-law, Dianne M. (DiCenzo) Zoglio of Johnston. She was the sister of the late Pasquale, Jack, Armando, Mafalda Corrente and Edith Gelardi.
Amelia retired in 1981, and she spent her time caring for her family. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and traveling. She was a loyal communicant at Saint Rocco Church in Johnston for more than 40 years. A breast cancer and stroke survivor, Millie was a genuinely courageous lady. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Maceroni Funeral Home. Per her request, her funeral was private. She was laid to rest with grave site services in Our Risen Christ Mausoleum next to he husband and son, Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated honoring her life at Saint William Church, Naples, Florida. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Wippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
