Amelia H. Champagne (Gatta), 82, of Johnston, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cherry Hill Manor. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Cancelliere) Gatta.
Amelia was employed by Monet Jewelry and Fruit Hill Day Care, before retiring.
She leaves her son, Robert A. Champagne and his wife, Jackie; a brother Antonio Gatta; four grandchildren, Robert Champagne III, Nicole Champagne, Danielle Champagne and Chloe Champagne and her two great grandchildren, Kylie and Karissa Conrad-Champagne. She was the sister of the late James and Edward Gatta, Mary Loiselle and Yolanda Fanella.
Visitation at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, Monday morning from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
