Amelia Carmella Cascella

AMELIA C. CASCELLA (LA POLLA), 100, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving and devoted family on Thursday, October 23, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Agostino Cascella. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Louise (Anzevino) LaPolla.
Amelia worked in the Jewelry Industry until she was 93. She leaves a daughter, Louise Palazzola and her husband, Raymond; 8 grandchildren, Lynn Beaumier, Gina Richards and her husband Tom, Craig Cascella, Lisa Williams and her husband Hank and Rayna Bouchard and her husband Matt; 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was the mother of the late Agostino A “Gus” and Pasquale “Pat” Cascella and the sister of the late Joseph and Luigi LaPolla, Columbia Croce, Margaret Bianco and Lucy Magnanimi.
Her funeral will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at 9 am from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christan Burial at 10 am at St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Visitation Sunday 3-6 pm. Please omit flowers.
