AMALIA T. ANNESE (PIROZZI), 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 11, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Odosco Annese. Born in Medford, Ma., she was a daughter of the late Gino and Amalia (Pitta) Pirozzi.

Amalia was an executive secretary for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells for many years before her retirement.

She is survived by her loving children, Paula Andrews and her husband Richard, Pamela DelVecchio and her husband Anthony, Jean Birrell and her husband Robert, Joanne Matisewski and her husband Walter and David Annese and his wife Anne and a devoted sister, Anna Hennessey. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Gina Armstrong, Matthew Altruda, Jamie and Elizabeth DelVecchio, Robert, Christopher, Ryan, Kaitlyn and Keryn Birrell, Justin and Jenna Matisewski, Jaclyn Boichat, Cara and Brett Annese and 6 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Helen Lufkin and Marie Pedersen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 18th at 9am at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7pm at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amalia’s memory may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
