Alma E. Tavarozzi

ALMA E. (SPINARD) TAVAROZZI, 95, of Johnston, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre.. She was the wife of the late Francesco Tavarozzi and was the mother of the late John J. Tavarozzi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Roggemoser) Spinard.

Alma had worked for General Electric before retiring. She loved to knit, sew, crochet and enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by a daugher, Linda D’Abrosca and her husband, David; three sons, Frank Tavarozzi, Robert Tavarozzi and Edward Tavarozzi and his wife Helen; 6 grandchildren, Stacy Santilli, Melissa D’Abrosca, David D��Abrosca, Michael Tavarozzi, Edward Tavarozzi, Jr. and Christina Tavarozzi; and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother and seven sisters.

Visiting hours will be held Monday Morning, March 24, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
