ALBERT AZZOLI, 89, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rose “Kitty” (Barbato) Azzoli. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Salvatore and Adeline (Oddi) Azzoli.
Mr. Azzoli worked for the Woonsocket Call before retiring in 1986. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
As the Azzoli family patriarch, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Besides his wife of 62 years he leaves two daughters, Carol Bessette and her husband Armand, and Cathy Azzoli; five grandchildren, Christopher DiPetrillo and his wife Colleen, Brad Pari, Armand A. Bessette, Alicia Pari and Kerri Bessette; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Grace DiPetrillo; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, Alfred, Armand, Augustino “Barney”, Guido, Anthony and Carlo Azzoli, Ida Maio and Theresa Morro.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
