Rose DiNitto (Marrocco), 86, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018 at Hopkins Manor. She was the wife of the late Albert DiNitto, Sr. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Auriella “Irene” (Grossi) Marrocco.
Rose was a solderer for Dee Tee Soldering in Providence. She was a former president of the San Biagio Women’s Auxiliary in Providence and a communicant of St. Philip Church in Greenville. She loved to cook, play cards and listen to country music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Albert DiNitto, Jr.; two daughters, Donna M. Rodriguez and Debra A. DiNitto; a sister, Lenora DiNitto, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Richard J. DiNitto and sister of the late Louis Marrocco.
Visiting hours are Monday morning, January 8, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please consider making a donation to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses. At this time words can never express how much I will miss my best friend, Rose. We have been friends for 60 yrs. Throughout those years we never had anything to say bad about one another.
